Claude Pélieu was called "The French Beat". With his partner Mary Beach he took off to the States in 1963 and quickly met up with poets such as Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, Charles Plymell and Bob Kaufman. He wrote his first novel "Automatic Pilot" and Mary translated it. The couple stayed together their whole life and never stopped creating together or side by side. Claude Pélieu was published in Love Love #1, as was Mary Beach. This was post mortem and thanks to Mary's daughter Pam Plymell and her husband, the poet Charles Plymell.
This is a print and collage by both Claude Pélieu and Mary Beach from '93, signed by both artists. Artwork is 38x28cm
